Terms & disclosures
What Adulting Finances is, and isn’t.
Please read these disclosures before relying on any content, tool or service on this site.
Educational purpose
Content on this website, including lessons, topic guides, checklists, templates, examples and tools, is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It isn’t individualized financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it doesn’t consider your complete circumstances.
Advisory status
Adulting Finances is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or insurance agency, and Ryan Loveless is not currently acting as anyone’s investment adviser or fiduciary. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. If Adulting Finances offers registered advisory services in the future, they will be offered separately, after the required registration, and with their own disclosures and agreements.
Tools and estimates
The Plan Builder and other tools apply simplified, published rules of thumb to the information you enter. Results are educational estimates that depend on the accuracy of your inputs and on assumptions such as constant interest rates. They aren’t guarantees, and they aren’t a substitute for professional advice about your situation.
No tax or legal advice
Adulting Finances doesn’t provide tax or legal advice. Tax rules change and depend on your circumstances. For tax planning, legal matters (including bankruptcy) or estate documents, consult a qualified tax professional or attorney.
Investing risk
Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Past performance doesn’t indicate future results. Examples are illustrative, use fictional numbers unless stated otherwise, and may not reflect real outcomes. Technical analysis, backtests and active trading carry additional limitations and risks.
How Adulting Finances is paid
Adulting Finances is paid through The Adulting Finances Program. It doesn’t sell financial products and doesn’t receive commissions or referral fees for financial products you choose.
One-on-one support
One-on-one help covers what your Plan Builder results mean and how they were calculated, and how to use the lessons, tools and your plan. It isn’t financial planning or advice: it explains how the numbers work and never tells you what to do. Advice about your own situation comes from a licensed professional. Adulting Finances doesn’t offer one-on-one financial planning or advice sessions. Asking a question doesn’t create a client or advisory relationship, and joining an interest list doesn’t create one or an obligation to buy.
Purchases and accounts
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Purchases are tied to your account. You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure. For questions about a purchase, email info@adultingfinances.com.
The Adulting Finances Program
The program is a one-time purchase that gives the account holder personal, non-transferable access to the lessons, tools, the Plan Builder and the Financial Plan workspace for as long as the program is offered. Included support covers product help and occasional group educational Q&A. Please don’t share your login or redistribute lesson content. Lessons are updated as rules and limits change; time-sensitive figures show the tax year they apply to.
Refunds: Full refund within 14 days of purchase if you’ve completed less than a quarter of the lessons. To request one, email info@adultingfinances.com from the email on your account. A refund ends access to what that purchase included.
Feedback and testimonials
Feedback is published only with permission, with context about what the person used, and never as a representation of typical or guaranteed results. Any compensation for feedback is disclosed with it.
Your decisions
You’re responsible for the decisions you make using information from this website or any Adulting Finances product. Consider your full situation, and consult qualified professionals where appropriate.
